A natural progression from our successful B&B service for cyclists, our Cycling Tour weeks are for those who are looking to focus on the experience of riding the big Alpine climbs by letting us take care of the details, while also learning more about effective training and becoming a better road cyclist. Providing the same top-quality accommodation, service, bike facilities, breakfasts, and incredible mountain roads we’ll also be offering the following:
Daily Guided Rides can either be a fixed itinerary (however we always keep some flexibility to suit weather conditions) or custom made if you have any specific routes already in mind. Both options will take your fitness levels into account therefore it is important that your group does not contain a large variation in abilities (please contact us to discuss this further if you have any concerns). Our standard ‘baseline’ itinerary for a week’s stay is as follows however all rides are customisable so more or less is entirely possible!:
We can arrange pre-ride transfers* via a local transfer company, to enable all levels of ability to access the cols & climbs that are further afield.
With our local contacts we can arrange for after ride sports massages in house* by a ex-pro tour soigneur.
Prices per person per week range from 529€ for a triple share B&B option on an early season camp to 865€ for a twin share with ½ board high season. We are happy to offer discounts for bookings of 5 people or more. Please contact us to check availability and receive a quote based on your group size & time of year.
* - these services are provided by external third parties at additional cost
Please note that we do not provide:
- Bike hire (we can arrange this for you however)
- Airport Transfers (we can recommend a local company for airport pick up)
- Lunch plus one evening meal during the week (assuming you have opted for ½ board)….however there are plenty of restaurants in town
- Insurance (to ensure that you and your bike suitably covered in case of accidents or theft)
We can offer you the option of a training camp as long as your group size is 2 people or more, for a minimum stay of 4 nights. Please note we cannot guarantee to be able to offer training camps during certain times of the year when other events are occurring:
- 1st week of June (Alpe d’Huzes)
- 1st week of July (La Marmotte)
- Last week of July (Alpe d’Huez Triathlon)
* This is conditional on completion of a rider information form, possession of minimum level of cycling equipment (eg. Heart rate monitor), and completion of a 30 minute threshold test.

2019 Alps Training Camp Guest Review
I had a wonderful week of training with Alan and Tim of TTH and Kevin from Cycling Ascents. As I was slowly coming back to triathlon after a break in which I’d focused on cycling, the camp was mainly a starting point for me and all about building base fitness on the swim and run while getting to enjoy some of the best cycling.
The cycling was (obviously) fantastic, with endless routes up famous and lesser known climbs on excellent roads. The coaches did a good job giving pointers on how to approach climbs and also descents, with a main focus on long steady rides. The main highlight was definitely getting to see the Tour on the Galibier. Swimming in the local pool (c. 5 min from the accommodation) makes swimming in any ordinary pool quite dull, as the open air pool sits in the valley of the Alpe D’Huez and has a stunning view. Sets were personalised for each of us, with mine mainly focusing on building a base from which to restart my swimming. Running in the area was primarily on trails behind the accommodation, and again given my goals for the camp focused on getting some base miles under my feet.
My week wrapped up with the AdH short course triathlon (which still includes a climb up the 21 bends as part of the race), which was a perfect end to a week of getting back into triathlon training. Aside from training the accommodation is ideal - located in a quiet part of Bourg-d’Oisans, the house is a purpose built modern B&B with comfy beds and fantastic hosts! It’s definitely a camp with a heavier cycling focus than your typical training camp, but it was a fantastic experience with great coaches and great company. Overall, I’d highly recommend this training camp!
“ Superb week, well organised, awesome descending! Many thanks Kevin & Delphine“
“What can you say…Kevin and Delphine were perfect hosts, great food & accommodation. Rides were brutal, unforgiving leg drainers, but epic in every way….monuments of cycling all completed during the week. Rode with an amazing group of people…fantastic holiday“
Stu & Dave, 2017
“ Thank you so much for the hospitality. Had the most amazing time. This is the first trip where I have forgotten everything about work. A true holiday!“
“So much enjoyment was had for the days we were here. The riding was fantastic, but equally important was the hospitality you showed us. Everything was so perfect on our ‘trip of a lifetime’. Thank you so much, hoping to return one day to ride more cols!”
Steve des Champs, August 2018
“Everything has been incredible, I am honoured and humbled you have welcomed us into your home. You are amazing people and beyond hospitable! Wow, I could not have expected such a wonderful time. Kevin you have been the best cycle guide, your patience is remarkable. Delphine thank you so much for the fantastic dinners and awesome wine and thank you for catering to my finicky eating habits. It has been a great week! Thank you!”
