Alpe D’Huez and Bourg D’Oisans
Alpe D’Huez, Bourg D’Oisans and the nearby villages of Auris, Vaujany and Oz have between them 135km of cross country and 130km of downhill trails. There are a number of flat, easy trails either starting at or going through Bourg D’Oisans that would be suitable for families or other halves who don’t do much riding.

There are plenty of opportunities to do some Mountain biking around Bourg D’Oisans - either flatter, easier trails in the valley or cross country and downhill using the ski lifts at the ski resorts of Alpe D’Huez and Les Deux Alpes. Alpe D'huez hosts the Megavalanche - the longest downhill race in the world with 2800m of descent.
The three bike shops in Bourg D’Oisans all hire out mountain bikes daily, if you fancy a change from road riding or if off road is more your thing.

Les Deux Alpes has 26 downhill and 5 cross country trails as well as a bike park in the resort itself.
