As well as providing accompanied rides and accommodation, we can help you in a number
of other ways too:
- Bike hire - if you dont want the hassle of travelling with your own bike, we can
reserve hire bikes from one of the local shops to be ready for the day of your arrival
(after 6pm), or for collection the morning after you get here. Hire bikes are typically
carbon frames, suitably geared for all abilities and gradients with triple or compact
chainsets. On collection (please note you will need to provide your passport for
ID), each bike is set up for each rider at the hire shop and as well as your pedals
we would also recommend bringing your own saddle if you are going to be doing a lot
of riding.
- Drop off in Adjacent Valleys - in order to get the most out of your cycling holiday
we can drop you and your bikes off in adjacent valleys - this means you get to tackle
more cols without having to ride round trips of 160km or more (unless of course you
are in training for ‘La Marmotte’!) Please note that we do not offer this service
ourselves but via a local third party company.
- Tools - use of tools and assistance with any repairs / adjustments as needed. As
the owner of 4 road bikes (at the moment!) and having built up my own bikes I have
most tools for most situations. For anything else there are three bike shops in
Bourg D’Oisans so you are never far from mechanical assistance or spares!
- Riding Sportives - there are a number of cyclo-sportives run in the region (La Marmotte,
Marco Pantani, La Vaujany). We can arrange practice rides to familiarise yourself
with the route beforehand, and assistance with transport and support on the day.
